Children’s Liturgy
St John the Evangelist parish has two children's liturgy
groups for under 7s and 7-11 year olds that run on Sunday
mornings during the 11am Mass. The children celebrate the
Liturgy of the Word by listening to that week's Gospel
reading and carrying out an activity based on what they have
heard or relating to important seasons e.g. Lent or Advent.
The children return to the congregation at the beginning of
the Liturgy of the Eucharist, prior to the offertory
procession.
The children can take their work home with them. This may
stimulate further questions or discussion, exploring God’s
word, which you can then help them with.
We always welcome new catechists to help out with the
liturgy. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Andy
Robins via the parish office. |
