Join Us For The Journey Of Your Life!

RCIA Journey in Faith welcome evening - Tuesday 11th July 7.30-9.00pm at St Edmunds Parish Centre, Abingdon

People from all backgrounds and for all kinds of reasons throughout the year come forward wanting to learn more about the Catholic way of life.  Our Journey in Faith/RCIA sessions begin each year in September, and we would like to invite you to “come and see” evening where you can find out more about the sessions and what they entail.  A warm and friendly welcome awaits you and you will have the opportunity to meet members of the RCIA team, learn more about the Catholic faith and ask any questions you may have about becoming a Catholic.

So if you are:

·         Thinking about becoming a Catholic, or just interested in finding out more about the Catholic faith

·         Attending mass and would like to know more

·         Someone who has questions about faith you would like to find answers to

·         Someone who is unbaptised or baptised in another Christian tradition, or who may have been baptised a Catholic but never received the sacraments of Confirmation or Eucharist.

·         Someone who may be dating, engaged or married to a Catholic.

·         Someone who is just interested!

Then do ‘come and see’ us.

We look forward to welcoming you.

God bless.

RCIA team

"I joined the RCIA group last year, at a difficult time in my life and therefore I was very nervous about walking into a room of people I didn't know especially to talk about my faith, something which had always been very private. I was made to feel comfortable straight away and from there my relationships grew and I remembering feeling really safe and supported. Each week we would read passages from the bible and discuss in small groups and what I enjoyed about this part of the meeting was we made the bible relevant to our daily life. It really helped to deepen my understanding of the Catholic faith and how we can use it in simple tasks to help others each day for the 'ordinary life'. I now have a wonderful set of friends and we have a laugh and share good food and conservation together. I haven't looked back, not only have I restored my faith in the Catholic church but also in people as well."
