St Mary's serves East
Hendred and surrounding
villages, sharing a
close relationship with
St Patrick's, East
Ilsley. These are the
two main churches in the
Roman Catholic Parish of
East Hendred. The Church
of St Mary's also enjoys
a close relationship
with the two smaller
Chapels in the area, St Amand and St John the
Baptist , East Hendred
and The Blessed Virgin,
Milton.
Led by Parish Priest
Mgr Andrew Burnham, the
welcoming congregation
at St Mary's is drawn
from East Hendred and
the Downland villages
nearby, all of whom join
together to celebrate
the Catholic faith in
this charming gothic
inspired place of
worship.

St Amand and St John the
Baptist, located at
Hendred House, hosts
Friday morning Mass at
8.30am as well as the
Exposition of the
Blessed Sacrament on
Fridays between 3pm and
4pm.

context is for
anyone who is
curious about the
big questions of
life! Typically
Alpha involves food,
a short talk and a
brief discussion at
the end exploring
the basics of the
Christian Faith in a
friendly and lively
way. We will
meet on Sunday
evenings in October
and November,
finishing on 3rd
December.
There is a day away
on the 11th
November. We are
particularly
inviting parents and
adults connected
with the St Amand's
school community.
